Below is an example of some of the training we run regularly within the business. (Click here for the complete list of training courses we offer)

 

Most of our established training session are 1 day courses that run from 9.30am till 2.30pm to allow for school pick up. All our courses can be tailored to suit professionals and these typically run from 9.30am till 3.30pm. 

A few of our courses run over several sessions for example the supporting siblings course for young people and our Me, myself and autism course which is aimed at young people who have recently received a diagnosis. 

We also tailor make a lot of courses specific to the customers requirements so if you can't see what you're looking for please contact us to enquire.

Understanding Autism

This seminar will support families to; 

  • Develop an understanding of autism

  • Discuss experiences of getting a diagnosis

  • Identify how autism can affect families

  • Explore practical ideas for developing communication strategies 

  • Clarify support that families may be entitled to and ways to access this 

Sensory Needs

This seminar will support families to; 

  • Consider sensory systems and how effective these may be

  • Examine how sensory information may be processed differently

  • Discuss how people with Autism may experience different senses 

  • Suggest practical support strategies

  • To examine and understand anxiety in autism

  • To examine behaviours that you find difficult to understand or manage

  • To be able to use the WHAT, WHY, and HOW method of understanding behavior

  • To outline practical support to help you and your child to learn to manage anxiety and distressed behaviour

  • Differences in female autism presentation

  • Strategies to build self esteem
